Betty was born on October 7, 2021, and is now four years old. She was recently spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is fully litter box trained—she’s never marked and has excellent manners. I’ve also never seen her jump on counters or tables.

Betty is an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion to her humans. She loves attention, enjoys conversation, and always wants to be nearby. She has never shown aggression toward people—no scratching, no attitude, just pure love and devotion.

That said, Betty needs to be the only pet in the home. There are absolutely no exceptions to this. It doesn’t matter how gentle or friendly another pet may be—Betty simply decides within seconds if she approves, and if she doesn’t, she’ll hold that grudge forever. She can become fixated and aggressive every single time that she sees them.

That being said, Betty does have a soft spot for young kittens. She adores them and tends to form instant connections. If she were to go home with a kitten, I believe they would develop a special lifelong bond—a friendship built on trust and affection that would bring out Betty’s nurturing, gentle side. The relationship between them would likely remain strong and positive as they grow together.  Discount to be given if going home with a kitten.

Because she’s an adult cat, I want to make sure any transition is handled with her comfort and wellbeing in mind. I’ll be very selective in choosing her new family—not because I’m being difficult, but because I know exactly what kind of environment she thrives in. Please don’t take it personally if I decide she’s not the right fit for your home; it’s all about what’s best for Betty.

Ideally, I’d like her to go to a home within an hour of Springfield, so that if things don’t work out, she can come back to us. I will be collecting applications over the next few weeks before making a final decision, to ensure that she’s matched with the most suitable home possible.
